I’m constantly telling my directs to file tickets for everything they’re working on and to give robust standup updates, because in a remote world, that’s what fuels what I actually know about them. In this remote environment you can be working on a million things, but if you aren’t using a personal megaphone, it may look like you’re just phoning it in.

I love reading stories about dads being strong positive role models that fit who their kids are. Lots of fathers want their kids to conform to their vision for them, the dads who step back and become the fathers their kids need are truly remarkable.

These are role model fathers!

Just upgraded my home wifi network and everything seems to be working as expected. Hot tip courtesy of Chat-GPT, use the same network name (SSID) and password and all your devices (including smart plugs) will most likely reconnect to the new network seamlessly.

Two things stuck: monthly (not annual) progress check-ins, and amplifying the people around you as the actual multiplier. Also — “packaged engineering.” That term is going to live in my head, especially for editorial tools.
